How to Avoid Landlord Tenant Disputes

It is important to understand that the agreement signed between the landlord and the tenant is legally-binding. Therefore, whatever rule or policy is violated, a dispute could be filed, and it may be settled through a nice conversation, a mediation or arbitration, and in the worst cases, court trial.

In order to avoid these disputes, both parties should carefully understand their roles. Both the tenant and the landlord have their own duties and responsibilities that they must carry out. If there are complaints or problems, it should be dealt with calmly and peacefully. Each party must be willing to hear out the other, and make compromises if necessary. Otherwise, it may lead to litigations which are very costly and time-consuming.
